SUB TECTO

SUB TECTO is a café pavilion designed as a restrained addition to a public park, where architecture and landscape work together to create a new social meeting place. Two separate volumes—a café kiosk and a service building—are connected by a generous shared roof, creating a sheltered outdoor room between them.

The project minimizes intervention in the existing park while strengthening its paths, views and connection to the river. A robust palette of concrete blocks, brick, timber and sheet metal gives the pavilion a durable and tactile character, while integrated seating and lighting extend its use throughout the day and into the evening.
