Arcus
Arcus is an outdoor screen system composed of intersecting curves that together form a cluster of enclosures and spatial possibilities. Its name, derived from the Latin word for “arch,” reflects both its geometry and its intent—to create spaces that invite passage and discovery rather than immediate comprehension.

The system is constructed from vertically standing lamellas whose dimensions, when combined with the curving form, interrupt direct sightlines. The result is a structure that conceals as much as it reveals; it cannot be fully perceived from the outside. To understand it, one must enter it. Movement through Arcus becomes an act of exploration—each step unfolding new alignments, vistas, and relationships between inside and out.

More than a functional screen, Arcus is a study in perception and spatial rhythm. Its curved profiles modulate light and shadow throughout the day, transforming openness into intimacy and enclosure into transparency. The project proposes architecture as a series of thresholds rather than boundaries, where orientation and curiosity replace prescription. Through this interplay of form and movement, Arcus invites an embodied experience of space—one that unfolds only through presence.
